Notice what you already reach for
Your everyday silhouette is not a category you have to fit into. It is the outline and feeling you enjoy returning to. Look at the pieces you wear most often and ask what connects them. Perhaps you like a clear shoulder line, room through the body, a longer hem, or a shape that moves as you walk.
Begin with those observations instead of a list of flattering rules. Clothes can express what you enjoy, not simply correct or conceal something. Try describing an outfit in words such as easy, structured, fluid, or playful. Those words may be more useful than trying to assign yourself a single style identity.
Change one proportion at a time
Choose an outfit that already feels familiar, then change just one element. Pair the same top with a different trouser shape. Try a shorter layer over a longer base. Compare the outline of a dress on its own with the same dress under an open outer layer. Keeping the rest familiar makes the effect easier to see.
Consider where the hems meet, how much volume you want, and how the fabric behaves when you move. You do not have to balance every loose piece with a fitted one. A relaxed outline can be intentional from top to bottom, just as a more defined outfit can still feel comfortable. Your preference is the point of the exercise.
Let fit and preference work together
A size label is a place to begin, not a complete description of fit. Read the product-specific measurements when they are available, and check whether a chart refers to body measurements or finished garment measurements. A general reference cannot tell you exactly how an individual design will sit.
If a piece is marked one size, do not assume it matches a standard letter size or a particular body range. Ask for the measurements you need. Finally, give yourself permission to repeat a silhouette you love and to change your mind later. An everyday wardrobe can have a recognizable rhythm without becoming a uniform you are obliged to keep.
Fit and fabric details vary by piece. Check product-specific measurements and notes, or ask us about the details you need. Read the size guide.
